Eternal September Clock
The current date / time is:
The Eternal September clock references dates to September 1993, commonly known as Eternal September or the September that never ended to Usenet readers.
Although college freshmen logging into the Usenet for the first time and posting without any regard for the established community were generally integrated into the group (only after causing some irritation to long-time Usenet members), September 1993 was the first time that AOL! users were allowed access to the Usenet which was previously available only to researchers and academics; these new users were disruptive and obnoxious to the established community and, unlike the waves of newbies before them, this wave never seemed to end; September 1993 was later coined as the September that never ended in a January 1994 post to alt.folklore.computers.
